WU LYF - “Heavy Pop” live on Letterman
The heaviest, calculatedly reclusive popstars in the UK finally played a US television appearance. And it looked like ol’ Dave genuinely enjoyed the histrionics.
Either that or he wasn’t expecting the throaty “What’s up mother[fathers]!” at the end.
This isn’t the mighty WU’s best track by a longshot. “Heavy Pop” is more of an extended build-up that serves as their debut album (Go Tell Fire to the Mountain)’s coda.
